Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
