'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first major trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he once was, and would certainly consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the coming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to astound
